Today was the day we were waiting for today we had our Art Expo. We travelled around our whole school to see some amazing art on display. Every child in our school had the opportunity to create and display an artwork. I kinda loved it because we were walking so slow like a cheater and we had to stay in one line for like an hour.

My inspiration for this artwork comes from Georges Seurat.

Pointillism is painting a art project with using only tiny dots and various pure colors.

Swmming

This morning our teacher Mrs Tele’a was telling us about swimming. She said that we have 4 weeks of free swimming. That fun part is it's free, and you learn different things. You also get to get more experience on how to swim, it's just a good opportunity to learn about swimming. Mrs tele’a made a challange that whoever class has the most students swimming that means they get too take off the last period of school and get to eat and have fun with my class.

Maori language moment 14/09/20

200,000 Sign Up For Historic Māori Language Moment

Today at 12pm the whole world are doing something to support the Maori Language week moment. So today we did something too, we sang a beautiful song that is in Maori. Room 3 had recorded what we did for the Maori Language week this week.

In 1972, 30,000 signatures were delivered to Parliament to safeguard the Maori Language.

Safe-guard means to protect The Maori language needed to be protected.

here are 3 reasons why I think it needed to be protected:

1. People were needed to be reminded to valueing it

2. Because the language will fade away

3. And so we can make sure it will be used in the future
